This kit is used for special effects lighting projects to simulate ocean waves and ripples with light. The kit consists of the bulb and socket assembly, the bulb uses 24 LEDs (12 blue and 12 green). The light from the bulb has both blue and green color hues. The kit operates from 12 volts DC power, the kit includes a battery holder assembly for 8 AA size batteries. The WEC (Water Effects Control) in the kit provides 6 dynamic modes of wave and ripple effects with 20 speed steps. The control also has one static dimming mode. The bulb and cable assembly have an overall length of 11.5 inches nominal. The controller with pigtail cables has an overall length of 12” nominal. The kit items use DC barrel connectors of the 2.1mm x 5.5mm size. Best ocean water special effects are achieved when multiple kits are combined with the control operating in different wave ripple modes and speeds. The operating time of the kit when new AA size batteries are used is expected to be greater than 12 hours. The LED bulb is of the G4 style and is removable from the socket. The socket is designed to press fit into a 7/16-inch hole in rigid foam and other prop and scenery materials.
